Join guide George F. for this early autumn walk at Sycamore Island (located near Children's Hospital in Madera). This site is home to many local bird and animal species including deer, herons, mountain lions, owls, egrets, and much more.
George F. has been involved with the River Parkway Trust for over 20 years. He is retired from a 40 year career in the air conditioning industry, and has a great love of the outdoors. His main interest is field ornithology, but he also enjoys discussing habitat preservation, river history and restoration, Native American history, and water issues.
Please dress appropriately (closed toed shoes, long pants, etc.) and bring a hat, sunscreen, water, binoculars and a small snack. Leader will have some loaner binoculars available.
