Perspectives on Poverty Law from the Bench: US District Court for the District of Columbia

Join us for a brown bag lunch panel discussion of Perspectives on Poverty Law from the Bench: US District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, from noon - 1:30 pm, at McDermott Will & Emery.

Our panel features these three fantastic DC District Court Judges:

  • The Honorable Gladys Kessler
  • The Honorable Emmet Sullivan
  • The Honorable Reggie Walton

The panel will be moderated by Mary Kennedy, Trial Training Counsel, Arnold & Porter.

The judges will discuss how poverty impacts the justice system, the critical role that pro bono and public interest attorneys play in securing access to justice, and how a public interest career path can lead to a judicial appointment.

Bring your lunch!  Drinks and desserts provided.

Feel free to invite a friend to join you!
