Our panel features these three fantastic DC Office of Administrative Hearings Judges:
The panel will be moderated by Alessandro Terenzoni, Supervising Attorney/Team Leader, U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights.
The District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings is an administrative court that decides cases involving unemployment compensation, Medicaid and other public benefits, public space, rent control, professional and business licenses, and building, health and fire code violations, among others.
The judges will discuss how poverty impacts the justice system, the critical role that pro bono and public interest attorneys play in securing access to justice, and how a public interest career path can lead to a judicial appointment.
