The Washington Council of Lawyers invites you to  our continuing conversation,

Best Practices in Pro Bono:
Measuring How We Serve our Clients

Law firms, legal services organizations, and corporations in dialogue to improve the business of doing pro bono.

We all know pro bono work is doing work for the greater good, but how great is the good work we are doing?

At our final Best Practices in Pro Bono session this year, we will explore the importance of evaluating our pro bono programs with an eye toward utilizing results to effect improvements.  We will survey existing models of evaluation, discuss new innovations in data collection, and brainstorm ways to collect feedback efficiently from all stakeholders – volunteers, mentors, clients and the community.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Fried, Frank Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, 801 - 17th Street NW.  We will gather at 8:30 am for a continental breakfast; the facilitated conversation will take place from 9:00 - 10:00 am, featuring facilitators Nancy Drane, Pro Bono Director at the Children's Law Center, and Kelly Voss, Pro Bono Counsel at Covington & Burling LLP.

As always, there is no cost to attend.  Please feel free to invite others to join the conversation!

We're thinking ahead!  What topics should next year's Best Practices in Pro Bono series tackle? If you have topic ideas, please email Paul Lee at Paul.Lee@dechert.com or Nancy Lopez at NALopez@wclawyers.org.
