Mulch Madness at the Rose Garden 

Join the Sacramento Tree Foundation for an evening of fun, fellowship and service at the lovely McKinley Park. Grab your wheelbarrow and join the after-work mulching party.  Don't have a wheelbarrow, just show up!  We will provide wheelbarrows, gloves and rakes.

Mulch Madness events are some of our most popular projects, with participants of all ages having a great time caring for the mature and newly planted trees within the park.

Coming out of a very dry winter, mulch with benefit the trees by keeping the soil near the roots cool, retaining moisture and keeping weeds at bay.

We want to ensure that your time with us is a success!  Please prepare for this event in the following ways:

• Begin your day with a healthy breakfast
• Wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes
• Bring along a water bottle
• You may want to bring gloves if you have them
• Bring your completed Volunteer Release form
