Airport: Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (approximately 11 miles from hotel)

Transportation to Hotel:

Super Shuttle: $17.00 per person (discount for roundtrip booking)

Light Rail: $1.75 one way (take to Sycamore stop, located less than 2 miles from the hotel. Contact the hotel and they will provide complimentary transportation to/from the Sycamore location)

If you will be arriving the evening before the conference starts (Thursday) there will be a casual welcome reception. Details emailed to attendees at a later date.

Professionals Conference

                       Friday, Febr 22        8 am to 5 pm MST (CEU event)

                       Saturday, Febr 23    8 am to 12 noon MST  (CEU event)

                       Saturday, Febr 23    1 pm- 4 pm MST (additional speakers, open forum)

Conference  Abstract

 The purpose of the conference program is to provide advanced education for audiologists and professionals who have a sincere interest in working with patients who suffer from misophonia and wish to include misophonia treatment services in their practices.  The two day seminar will present demographics, review of case histories and proposed evaluation procedures.  Current theories and treatment options will be presented. It is recommended that attendees have neurophysiology and sound sensitivity education and experience.  Recommended reading can be requested by email: tinn_practitioners@snet.net

Due to lower than expected public participation, we have cancelled the public portion of the program.  However, we will expand the professionals program through Saturday afternoon.  See below for the new time ordered outline.

  • Define our current understanding of the history and demographics of the misophonic population
  • Analyze theoretical models for misophonia with treatment implications
  • Perform evaluations to determine health professionals referrals if necessary
  • Describe skills to communicate and work with mental health professionals to achieve treatment goals

Conference  Fees   Conference  fees are listed on the registration application which is found by clicking on the orange "Register Now" button below.  Fees cover the costs of food, course materials, facility fees and adminstrative costs.

 The International Misophonia Conference for Professionals is  accredited by the American Academy of Audiology

for 1.0 CEUs Tier 1

Certificates of Conference Attendance will be available at the completion of the professional event.


The Tinnitus Practitioners Association is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of 1.0 CEUs. Academy approval of this continuing education activity does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
