STORYLINE

In the wake of Liberty Corp’s close victory, the United Polish People’s Army were driven out of the once active Soviet nuclear weapon base. Though a small victory, none of it felt palpable to either side— both LC and UPPA learn that there is much more beneath the surface than just missiles, gunpowder, and bloodshed. One thing was for certain, is that there is someone… or something, that has been here long before human affairs.

As the dust settled, UPPA’s first general was captured for a brutal interrogation to find answers on the last documented tape in hopes of understanding the dud weapon, previous occupancy, and the experiments that took place here. UPPA was just as much in the dark as LC was, leaving both the CIA and sympathizers within The Kremlin furious at the meager progress that’s been made. While the loss for UPPA was only a minor set-back, it was not enough to smite the Kremlin’s hunger for power and control. The new information of possible, other-worldly technology has caught Gorbachev’s attention— something now that the communists can use to sway the people in their favor and to keep them distracted from the real truth. And so, protests for democracy within the country have taken a slow decline, as a glimmer of hope for a stronger Union with the promise of a “new resource” was just beyond the horizon. While UPPA and high ranking Union officials truly believe that this new technology can be harnessed for a wealthier nation, Liberty Corps sees it as something that can be exploited for abuse and power on a global level-- a threat that must be kept out of the wrong hands.

With the knowledge of the strange dormant weapon sitting idly at the base, the small remainder of the LC first battalion kept a watchful eye on the base and its permitters throughout the months, while they attempted to scour for more information in hopes of activating the weapon. To their avail, bizarre signs have appeared throughout the base over the course of recent nights. LC reported their findings to Washington, requesting an immediate task force be sent to the base in an effort to decipher “symbols unknown to man” that may give them the upper hand over UPPA. Little did they know, undercover Soviet agents in America picked up this fragile information. The two powers scramble for more reinforcements to return to the war-torn nuclear base, shifting their focus and course of action for the truth, the weapon.
