When one woman helps another, amazing things can happen, professional careers and creativity leap forward. The Waterloo Region Small Business Centre, and community partners are pleased to announce the 2nd annual International Women’s Day event designed to Celebrate and Connect Women in Technology. The Centre has partnered with local business women to provide a luncheon featuring Keynote Speaker Sarah Prevette.
Sarah Prevette was named by Inc Magazine as one of the top entrepreneurs in North America, and has been credited with assisting more than 100,000 startups world-wide. Sarah is frequently in the media and has been profiled by numerous prestigious publications including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Wired Magazine. Sarah is the founder of Sprouter.com, an online platform acquired by Postmedia in 2011, which facilitates knowledge exchange between start-ups and business leaders. Most recently, she founded BetaKit, a popular online publication profiling emerging technology news and trends.
There are over 1,500 events held worldwide, 184 events in Canada, this event is known as the event to attend in the City of Waterloo. It is designed appeal to students, start-ups, entrepreneurs, professionals and those in business or career paths such as business, marketing, design, digital and social media.
