Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Once again the blessed month of Ramadhan is round the corner!
Fasting and health are very deeply connected. There are specific instructions and there are numerable myths and misunderstandings. What constitutes illness so that we don't fast?. What effect does fasting have on our normal health, and if we have doubts who do we ask? And many such questions have already started to float around.
In order to clear this and a host of other questions, The Social Services department and the Health Department of ADAMS have jointly organized a very informative SEMINAR that will explain the effects of fasting on normal health, on different diseases and in different situations. The panelists will be pleased to answer any questions and offer advice On the best foods to take during fasting and even advise on how to do the cooking. Light refreshments will be served.
The seminar will be addressed by Dr. Mohammad Y. Alvi MD, FRCP and Dr. Mahsin Habib MD. It will be held on Monday, May 22nd.
Registration by RSVP is requested, but walk ins will be welcome unless the space does not allow.
