Greening Cream & Crimson Basketball - Assembly Hall - Dec 04 - Savannah St.

The 2010 IU basketball season is the first-ever season-long green campaign. Be part of our team!

The 2010 Cream & Crimson Green Team is the first in a long line of dedicated volunteer teams working to expand issues related to sustainability within Indiana University Athletics.

Volunteers will receive:
A Free Greening Cream and Crimson t-shirt
The honor of being a core component of the FIRST Green and Crimson Green Team

 Game Day Initiatives:
  • Recycling inside Assembly Hall – Volunteers will be paired, and will educate, engage, and encourage fans to recycle during halftime of IU basketball games. Volunteer pairs will separate recycling from waste, collect those recyclables, and transport them to the proper disposal areas.
  • Vendor waste reduction – Supervised recycling should assist in reducing contamination of cardboard, paperboard - greenware pilot - 100% compostable corn-based "plastics"
  • Educational booths – Volunteers will table booths inside Assembly Hall to provide information on the Greening Cream & Crimson initiative and other IU-Bloomington sustainability-related initiatives.

Thank you! We look forward to having you on our team!

Note: Greening Cream & Crimson volunteers must adhere to the IU Athletics game-day worker clauses concerning dress code and observation of the game. Greening Cream & Crimson volunteers are expected to present themselves respectably while volunteering. In order for fans to recognize the volunteers, Greening Cream and Crimson shirts shall be worn while volunteering, tucked in, and accompanied by khaki pants.

Furthermore, worker passes, which provide volunteers entrance into Assembly Hall, are to be exclusively used for the volunteer experience. Volunteers are prohibited from using the worker pass as a fan ticket. If volunteers care to observe the game after their shift, they must have a ticket for a seat with Assembly Hall. The worker pass does not reserve a seat for the volunteer.
