Power in Community
Join us for a free Medicare Conference!
The Area Agency on Aging of East Texas and the Texas Legal Services Center invites the public to attend Power in Community, a free Medicare conference to be held on Friday, September 11th, at The Rose Garden Center located at 420 Rose Park Drive from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Power in Community will kick off the morning session with classes on Medicare basics, preventative services and help to pay for Medicare costs. A free lunch will be provided at the event for attendees. The afternoon session will feature a class on preventing fraud and a panel discussion on where beneficiaries can go for help. Panel participants will include representatives from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Department of Aging & Disability Services, the East Texas Aging & Disability Services, the Social Security Administration, caregiver assistance staff, and a certified Ombudsman. The conference will close with a question and answer session.
