Golden Spike Sesquicentennial Celebration and Festival at Promontory Summit

Celebrate the Sesquicentennial Celebration at Promontory Summit. Access to the site is by private car or chartered bus only. Each vehicle requires a ticket and must be purchased in advance online. Vehicle tickets provides parking adjacent to the Golden Spike Historic Park and entrance for all guests in your vehicle to participate in celebration events and activities.

 

Ticket Info

  • The first block of vehicle tickets for May 10th has sold out. The second block of vehicle tickets will be released on April 1, 2019 at 10am (MT).  Please join the Spike 150 mailing list to get updates about tickets and celebration activities.  
  • The historic celebration will occur on May 10th between 11:00am-1:30pm. Celebration events and festival activities will occur throughout the weekend. See Spike 150 Celebration Highlights.
  • Your vehicle ticket includes parking adjacent to the Golden Spike Historic Park and entrance for all guests in your vehicle.
  • Before May 10th, print your vehicle ticket and place it on the passenger-side dashboard of your vehicle.
  • All ticket purchases are non-refundable and not able to be exchanged. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.  No refund will be owed if any performers, speaker or acts is changed or canceled at any time without notice.

Guest Info

  • Guests may bring a chair to the event since seating will not be provided.
  • Food, beverages and merchandise are available to purchase at the site.
  • ADA parking is available with permit for guests with disabilities.   
  • Shelter at Golden Spike Historic Site is limited so vehicles and busses will be parked adjacent to the site.  Guests are advised to utilize their vehicles for protection in the case of inclement weather.
