Report to the Community 2010
HTAB invites you to attend our Report to the Community Event, on February 17, 2011 from 2:30 pm. - 4:30 pm. at Liuna Station. Learn about HTAB activities during 2010 and listen to a keynote address by Dr. Rick Miner, author of the recent report, "People without Jobs, Jobs without People."
Dr. Miner, President Emeritus at Seneca College and President of Miner and Miner Management Consultants will discuss "Canada's Labour Market: Jobs with a Future."
His presentation will address the dual trends of an aging population and the need for a more educated workforce. Dr. Miner will provide advice about how labour shortages and higher levels of unemployment can be avoided, a direction for preparing for the jobs of the future, and the role that communities will need to take in both these processes.
