The EMDR Case Consultation group is for therapists who have completed an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Training and want to consolidate their learning and advance their skills. The goal of the group is to ensure that therapists have strong skills for EMDR case conceptualization and treatment planning, for flowing smoothly through all of the phases of trauma reprocessing, and for handling "stuck" points and difficult moments in trauma reprocessing. The focus is on mastery of the standard protocol and application to a variety of clinical presentations. Other topics will be addressed based on participant interest and the cases presented.
This is a great opportunity to work on integrating EMDR therapy into your clinical practice, moving from protocols and technique to a natural flow.
Up to 10 hours of group consultation may be counted toward Certification for interested therapists who have already completed Basic Training. Please review EMDRIA guidelines regarding Certification criteria.
The group will meet from 9:00-11:00 on five Friday mornings: November 2, December 7, January 11, February 8, and March 8.
The fee for the 10 hours of group consultation is $375. This is a tuition for registering for the group and is not refundable due to missed meetings. Cancellations will be refunded, minus a $25 administrative charge, prior to October 5th. After that date, no refunds will be given unless the group is cancelled. The group may be cancelled due to low registration. If an individual meetings are cancelled due to weather or group leader's inability to attend, that meeting will be rescheduled.

Catherine Lidov, MSW, LCSW, provides individual psychotherapy for people of all ages with a primary focus on EMDR therapy in Durham, North Carolina. As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, she provides individual and group consultation to EMDR therapists and trauma therapists generally. Currently in private practice, she has also worked in secondary education, school counseling, community mental health, and the arts. Her work in EMDR integrates somatic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, ego-state work, psychodynamic theory, and creative process. With 20 years of experience practicing EMDR, she continues to marvel at its efficacy and the way in which EMDR integrates all aspects of human experience.
