On October 30th, we are holding our annual Fall Tour. During the tour, we will visit  a newly constructed AMD treatment system, participate in a hands on fish sampling demonstration, and see how real moonshine is made. The tour begins at 10am and will conclude around 2pm. There is a suggested $10 donation per attendee. Lunch will be provided.

Tour Details | The tour will include three stops.

• Treatment System: Monkey Hollow Doser- Check out the most recently installed treatment system in the Monday Creek watershed.  We hope that it will help us fine tune water quality and enhance biodiversity.

• Fish Shocking Demonstration: Participate in a hands on demonstraiton to see how we sample fish in Monday Creek.  There are now 35 species of fish living in a stream that was once considered dead.

• A Historic Site: Straitsville Special Moonshine Distillery - Check out the newest business in New Straitsville, see how real moonshine is made, and learn how it became an important part of local history.

A free lunch will be provided on the tour.
