Please join us for a one day symposium entitled Beyond the Numbers: Autism Today.  The symposium will open with a keynote address from Hanna Rue, Ph. D., BCBA-D. Two concurrent breakout sessions are scheduled for the morning and two in the afternoon, followed by a general session, reception and optional ethics workshop.

Conference mission: To enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals working with children, youths, and families with ASD's in evidence-based practices.

Intended audience: This event is appropriate for professionals who work with children, adolescents, and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their familiies.  Parents and students are also welcome to attend.

Skill ranking of this event:  This event is appropriate for mental health and allied  professionals, teachers and other education professionals, and BCBA’s who work with children, adolescents, and adults and their families, as well as parents.

Continuing Education credit is sponsored by The Institute for Continuing Education. The  program offers 5.00 contact hours with full attendance required.  The CE processing fee is $50.00 per person and may be paid on site.  CE credit is available for psychology (APA), social work ( ASWB provider 1007); counseling ( NBCC provider 5643); MFT ( will be submitted for approval for MA/RI MFTs).  This event is appropriate for mental health professionals of all skill levels. 

Registration fee includes the conference, breaks, and handout materials. 

The Rhode Island Chapter of the Autism Society of America is pleased to be able to award ten (10) scholarships of $40 each for parents to attend this symposium, on a first come, first served basis. Please contact Lisa Rego, President of ASARI, at 401-595-3241, to enter your name. Parents will need to register and pay the full amount of $80.  After confirmation of attendance at the symposium, they will be refunded $40.

Cancellation policy:  Cancellations should be made in writing. A full refund will be made for cancellations received 7 days before the event.  No refunds will be given for requests received after 7 days before the event, or for "no shows".
