Hanson Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament

It takes a special person to be a teacher, but it takes a truly passionate individual to be a great one. Great teachers are people who continually strive to make a difference with every student that walk into their lives. Our organization’s goal is to take a unique approach in supporting our education system by providing scholarships to talented students and teachers looking to pursue or further their education in a teaching degree.

The Hanson Scholarship Fund was created in honor of Dick Hanson, a former Burnsville High School Math Teacher, Head Football Coach, and perfect example of a “Great Teacher”. 

This year marks the 24th anniversary of the Hanson Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament.  The event is the sole annual fundraiser for the Hanson Scholarship Fund.  With your participation, scholarships are provided to 8 dedicated students from Burnsville Senior High School and 3 outstanding teachers from School District 191.
