Hanson Scholarship Fund Event
Mission Statement:
It takes a special person to be a teacher, but it takes a truly passionate individual to be a great one. Great teachers are people who continually strive to make a difference with every student that walk into their lives through dedicated time spent and mentoring. Our organization’s goal is to take a unique approach in making a difference in our education system by looking to help talented students and teachers excel by providing scholarships to outstanding individuals that are looking to pursue or further their education in a teaching degree.
The Hanson Scholarship Fund was started in honor of Dick Hanson, a former Burnsville High School Math Teacher, Football Coach and a perfect example of a “Great Teacher”. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Hanson Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament; a non-profit event held to raise money for providing scholarships to 3 outstanding teachers and 8 dedicated students from 6 metro-area schools looking to pursue a career in education.

Your Registraion Includes:
- Golf, Shotgun start at Noon (5 person scramble)
- Cocktail hour
- Silent and Live Auctions - many fantastic items to bid on!

Schedule for Tournament Day:
- 10:30 - Registration and Driving range will open
- 12:00 - Shotgun start (5 person scramble)
- 5:30 - Cocktail hour, Silent Auction opens
- 6:15 - Dinner
- 7:00 - Live Auction begins, Silent Auction closes
- 7:15 - Awards program
- 8:00 - Raffle Winners Announced
- 8:10 - Auction Item Pick up

- Sponsorship Opportunities
- - Full Scholarship - $2,000 Gold Level Sponsor
- -Includes a premium hole sponsorship on 1st or 10th tee box with advertising on the golf course, in the club house, recognition on the hole contest sheet, and in the event program.
- Half Scholarship - $1,000 Silver Level Sponsor
- - Includes a hole sponsorship on 9th or 18th tee box with advertising on the golf course, in the club house, recognition on the hole contest sheet, and in the event program.
- Hole Sponsor - $175 Bronze Level Sponsor
- -Includes a hole sponsorship on one of 16 holes with advertising on the golf course, in the club house, recognition on the hole contest sheet, and in the event program.
- Opportunities to Donate Goods/Services
- We are in need of items for our Auctions & Raffle!
- -Examples: Sports tickets, Gift Baskets, Merchandise, Electronics (TVs, ipods, ipads, DVD player, docking station, etc), Yard Tools, Event Tickets, Sports Equipment, Décor, Wine, Liquor, Gift Cards, Dinner and a Movie package, Girls night out package, ect.
