Almost everyone agrees Utah's public schools need more money. But what's the best way to increase funding? Are local property taxes part of the answer? Increased income taxes as the Our Schools Now ballot initiative proposes? Undoing the 1996 change to our state constitution? Something we haven't thought of yet?

 

Three of the state's top leaders in education will join our Policy in a Pub conversation on May 17th. Sydnee Dickson is Utah's State Superintendent of Public Education. Heidi Matthews is president of the Utah Education Association. Ann Millner is a Utah State Senator and the former president of Weber State University.
