Advanced Esalen® Massage, 16 CEU's

Join us for diving deeply into the practice of Esalen Massage as we move beyond the basics and into the advanced philosophy and practices that make Esalen Massage world renowned.  Robin Fann-Costanzo and Peggy Horan have over 70 years combined experience in the healing arts and teaching, and are sure to bring you an inspiring and dynamic weekend of Advanced Esalen Massage practices.

As our massage practice evolves we are called to listen more deeply with all of our senses and become more present to what our clients bodies are telling us, so we can address cronic holding patterns due to daily stress, tension, and injury.  You will be introduced to a variety of ways to approach the body in deeper, and more subtle ways, and to attune to what your client needs.  We will use the practice of Esalen massage to deepen our own self awareness, as we listen and connect with our clients.

During this workshop we will cover:

  • Deepen your self awareness to be able to attune to your clients
  • Accessing the back of the body in a supine position
  • Passive stretching
  • Working in a side lying position
  • Blending deeper work with energy work, and more!

This retreat will take place at the beautiful Wysteria Inn, in downtown Weaverville (10 minutes from Asheville), where you will feel like you are far from the rest of the world with the wonderful private gardens and workshop space. This week will be designed as a retreat, not only for learning, but for participants to focus on self care, self reflection, and rejuvenation.  Healthy nutritious lunches will be provided each day, and we will have time to rest, be in nature, and connect with one another in a meaningful way.

Limited Housing is available on site on a first come first serve basis.

Schedule for the week:

  • Friday: 9:00am registration, 9:30-1:00 Class, 1:00 Lunch, 3:00-7:00 Class
