Glasgow [more details to follow]
Back by popular demand following the previous session selling out, our 2-day non-residential course provides an introduction to economic development and the basic approaches required in delivering economic development in Scotland.
The numbers on the course are restricted to a small group of people to enable the sessions to be participative and interactive. Attendees will get the chance to discuss, with expert facilitation from the University of Glasgow, how economic development can be more successful in combating worklessness, boosting growth, building the skills base and developing entrepreneurship.
You will benefit from this IED accredited course if you are working in economic development but:
(i) Are new to economic development.
(ii) Have limited experience of economic development and have not been exposed to the strategic aspects of economic development. For example, those involved in front line roles.
(iii) Work in any functional area, but have an interest in economic development.
