Join Omaha’s Habitat ReStore and Cottage ReFunk for this month’s Ladies Nite Out! On Thursday, March 19, you’ll have the opportunity to turn something old into something new. We’ll upcycle vertical blinds into a lovely, one-of-a-kind flower--just in time for spring! Come enjoy an evening of creative crafting fun.
Each class costs $25--this includes all materials and light refreshments.
Please email David Klitz at dklitz@habitatomaha.org with any questions.
Tracee Michel is the owner of Cottage ReFunk. She says: "Last fall I was participating in Junkstock and felt like my tent/space needed "a little something." After looking around at the pile of vertical blinds that were heading to the trash bin, it struck me that they could be easily looped into a beautiful flower-petal shape. What initially resulted was not exceptionally well made, but apparently nobody noticed! I received multiple compliments and decided that this little beauty would become one of my focus-projects for the next show I participated in. I hope you enjoy this project--it makes me smile."
