Alpha Registration

In a continuing effort to enrich the faith lives of the adults of our parishes and beyond, Saint Alphonsus and Saint Alexis will offer a 12-week program called "Alpha" that explores the important questions of life and the Christian faith.

Whether you are a lifelong Catholic, new to the faith, of a different Christian denomination or have never set foot in a church, Alpha is for you.

It will be offered on 12 consecutive Tuesdays from January 15 through April 2 at St. Alexis’ Friendship Hall (cafeteria). The program starts with dinner at 6:30 p.m., which is followed by a video presentation on the night's topic and small group discussion of 8-10 people. Each session looks at a different question about faith and is designed to create conversation.

Additionally, a local weekend retreat will be held midway through the program that focuses on the Holy Spirit.

Alpha has proven to be a very powerful tool in building and growing a relationship with Jesus as well as leading to discipleship. Those who participated in prior Alpha sessions have remarked that it was a very powerful experience.

The program is open to all, not just Saint Alexis and Saint Alphonsus parishioners.

Each small group will have a host and a helper.  The host facilitates the discussion (not a teacher or preacher) – allowing the conversation to flow.  The helper will be there to support the host and the group by praying throughout the evening for the group.
