Take part in a cycling adventure of a lifetime - starting in Dunkirk and cycling into the heart of Brussels by bicycle, finishing underneath the atomium at the Brussels Expo.

2014 is a very special anniversary of one of the most traumatic conflicts the world has ever witnessed and one hundred years since the outbreak of the First World War.

Spend some time cycling through the atmospheric memorials dedicated to those that bravely gave their lives and explore the magnificent cities of Bruges, Ghent and Brussels, where the evenings promise to be just as exciting as the days cycling!

All the riding will be via Belgiums impressive traffic free cycling 'nodes' (Knooppunten) system, whereby every route intersects another. Follow in the footsteps of some of the worlds greatest cyclists who have ridden the 'cobblestones' during the world famous Belgium 'classics'.

Each node in the network is numbered and the route carefully chosen by the Argus Appeal team who will be on hand to fully support each rider to our usual high standards.

DAY 1: JULY 30TH, 2014: Arrive in Dunkirk via ferry early Wednesday afternoon and cycle to our first hotel in Ypres.

DAY 2: JULY  31ST, 2014: After breakfast, cycle on some quiet country roads via the 'war graves' that serve as memorials to those that died in the First World war until we reach the centre of the magnificent city of Bruges (50 miles).

DAY 3: AUGUST 1ST, 2014: A 50 mile cycle to the impressive city of Ghent (the city by the water), which architecturally is just as imposing as Bruges.

DAY 4: AUGUST 2ND, 2014: Today we cycle to our last destination of our short Belgium break and make our way into the north-west area of Brussels and spend our last evening discovering the delights of what this city has to offer.

DAY 5: AUGUST 3RD, 2014: Return home via  Eurostar, after spending the morning in Brussels

The ride is fully supported by an experienced team of volunteers. All accommodation is included, as is transportation of yourself, luggage and bikes. All breakfasts (apart from ferry) are included as are two evening meals.

This ride has a limited number of 49 places - so please book early to avoid disappointment!
