LEED On - Sustainable Update Program 

Speaker:

Wade Bevier, FCSI, CCS, LEED AP BD+C, SCIPa, USGBC; works as a Construction Specifier for SmithGroupJJR and owner of GWB Consulting, LLC.  An active member of CSI since 1998, Wade has been on the Raleigh Durham chapter board since 2002 when he took the role as Certification Chair and has been a supporter of the chapter board and committee activities, including three years as the Chapter President.  At the region level, Wade has been the Institute Director for the Southeast Region and is currently the President Elect and will be the Region President in July.  Wade has been a member of the North Carolina Triangle chapter of the USGBC since its founding in 2005.  He is a current member of the Education Committee for the Triangle Chapter.  Wade's independent consulting activities include being a national member of USGBC and an affiliated member of SCIP (Specifications Consultants in Independent Practice). 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will understand the new USGBC LEED v4 rating system.
  2. Participants will be able to appy the new categories and explain the prerequisites required in the new version of LEED.
  3. Participants will understand the various changes in the new LEED v4, including commissioning, life cycle analysis, performance energy use and water management, as well as key changes to materials and resources.
  4. Participants will be able to adapt their pracdtices to use LEED certification in the State of North Carolina.
