Eating well is often hard for teens. Hanging with friends, eating fast food and snacking can lead to excessive intake of fat, sugar and calories and insufficient intake of vitamins and minerals. Adolescence is a time of increased nutrient needs. This workshop will provide participants with an overview of basic nutrition and healthy eating. It explores food composition and dietary guidelines.
