Beyond BOW - On Range: Shotguns 

Ever wanted to try shooting a shotgun? Want to learn how to shoot trap, skeet or five stand?
Join BOW for a day at the range!

Join us for a day at the range to learn to shoot a shotgun or refine skills! The day will focus on teaching basic shotgun safety, shooting techniques, range etiquette and how to shoot trap, skeet and five stand. All firearms and ammunition will be provided. Once the shooting is done, the instructors will teach you how take apart, clean and store the firearms.

This course is designed for 18 and older women who are looking to learn new skills or refine exisiting skills. Topics covered will include, but are not limited to: shotgun types, selection of shotguns, function of shotgun, fit, eye dominance, stance and safety handling. We will also learn the basics of shooting sports games - trap, skeet and five stand. 

What to bring:
clothing to enjoy your time outdoors
your shotgun - 12 or 20 gauge shotgun in good working condition (if you own one)
closed toed shoes
sunscreen and bug spray
waterbottle
hat or hair ties
shooting glasses
hearing protection

What will be provided:
shotguns (if you don't own one)
12 and 20 gauge ammunition
shooting glasses
hearing protection
