The Great Pacific Airshow 

 

re you Interested in giving back to your community in an exciting way?   Consider using your special talents as you volunteer behind the scenes of this unique airshow.  As you volunteer, you can feel, hear and see the excitement all around you.  The dates are October 4-6, 2019, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  The hours are approximately from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day and varies with each squad.    DEADLINE TO REGISTER is September 12, 2019

Squad Descriptions for The Great Pacific Airshow 

Admissions - Volunteers are needed at various locations to check and scan tickets to the ticketed areas on the beach and pier.  40-50 volunteers are needed

Beach Combers - Volunteers will move the trash to specific locations for the vehicles to pick up and load in the dumpster.  This will be working inside the chalets and all over the airshow grounds.  40-50 workers are necessary.

Boneyard/Golf Cart Management - Volunteers are needed to check in deliveries and pickups, as well as distribute golf cart keys to those on the list.  2-3 Volunteers are needed during the week and weekend of the show.

Chalet Hospitality  - Volunteers will be greeting the guests in the Chalets and cleaning up tables as they answer questions and make sure the guests are satisfied. 50-60 volunteers are needed.

Civil Air Patrol Members - The volunteers must be a member or associated with the Civil Air Patrol.  They will be assigned duties such as guarding landing zone, assist with parking, and provide other duties as assigned.

Exhibitors – Volunteers are needed on Thursday to assist the Exhibitors with set up.  They will escort them to the set up area and assist with any issues.  They will report to the Beach Manager.  2-3 people are needed.

Gate Monitor - Volunteers will provide added security to strategic positions throughout the air show which includes – chalet entrance, exhibitor entrance, and the front and back of each chalet.  Training will be provided prior to the show.  30-35 people are needed.

Parking - Volunteers will be positioned in the parking lots and assist those with special credentials on where to park. 8-10 people are needed.

Performer Relations – FULL Volunteers must have experience with aircraft and must be pre-approved by the Air Operations Team.  6 people are needed.

Site Preparation - Volunteers are needed the week before the show and during the show to help setup chairs, pack and unpack, and assist with building the layout and structures on the beach.  This group will also assist with the Exhibitor setup on Thursday.  We need 30-40 people throughout the week and it is possible to work in another area on the weekend!  Even if you can help for 1 day, it will be appreciated!

Volunteer Services – FULL - Volunteers will check other volunteers in each day, issue wristbands and assist with meals.  They will also deliver water and supplies to volunteers upon request.  20 people are needed
