The Great Pacific Airshow 

 

Are you Interested in giving back to your community in an exciting way?   Consider using your special talents as you volunteer behind the scenes of this unique airshow.  As you volunteer, you can feel, hear and see the excitement all around you.  The dates are October 19 - 21, 2018, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  The hours are approximately from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day and varies with each squad.    DEADLINE TO REGISTER is September 15, 2018

Squad Descriptions for The Great Pacific Airshow 

ADA Compliance - Volunteers will assist the guests with disabilities in the chalet area.  4-5 people are needed.

Admission Gate Scanning - FULL

Admission - Beach Seating  - FULL 

Admission on the Pier - FULL

Beach Combers -   Volunteers will move the trash to specific locations for the vehicles to pick up and load in the dumpster.  This will be working inside the chalets and all over the airshow grounds.  40-50 workers are necessary.

Boneyard/Golf Cart Management - Volunteers are needed to check in deliveries and pickups, as well as distribute golf cart keys to those on the list.  2-3 Volunteers are needed the week of the show.

Civil Air Patrol Members - The volunteers must be a member or associated with the Civil Air Patrol.  They will be assigned duties such as guarding landing zone, assist with parking, and provide other duties as assigned.

Gate Monitor - Volunteers will provide added security to strategic positions throughout the air show which includes - Chalet Village Entrance, Exhibitor Entrance, Front and back of each Chalet.  Training will be provided prior to the show, as some areas will need to check packages entering the air show.  30-35 people are needed.

Hospitality in Chalets  - Volunteers will be greeting the guests in the Chalets and cleaning up tables as they answer questions and make sure the guests are satisfied. 40-50 are needed.

Parking - Volunteers will be positioned in the parking lots and assist those with special credentials on where to park.

Site Preparation/ Exhibitors  - Volunteers are needed the week before the show and during the show to help setup chairs, pack and unpack, and assist with building the layout and structures on the beach.  This group will also assist with the Exhibitor setup on Thursday.
