Cherokee County Saddle Club 2nd Annual Poker Ride to benefit Cherokee County TLAER 

The Cherokee County Saddle Club will be hosting a Poker Ride on Saturday May 30. Proceeds from this ride will be used to continue our efforts to buy lifesaving equipment for the Cherokee County Technical Large Animal Rescue.

Details:

• 25 Entry Donation includes: 1 Poker Hand and lunch.
• Anyone who pre-registers will receive an extra hand at no additional cost.
• When: Saturday May 30
• Time: Registration/Check In: 8:30am - 11 am
• Ride Window: 9am-3:00pm
• Last Rider In: 3:00pm
• Lunch 12:00-3:00pm
• Winners announced at 3:00pm
• Buy additional Poker Hands, $5 each.
• You will receive your score card(s) at the beginning of the ride. Hold and turn in at end of ride.
• This is a Rain Or Shine Event

• Cash Winners:
•  1st place: $100
•  2nd place: $50
•  3rd place: $30
•  Some other door prizes!

• A Negative Coggins will be required at check in!!!!!
• Children (16 years and under) must ride with an adult.
• This is not a race.
• Please observe trail courtesy and safety for everyone’s sake.
• Ride at your leisure on a scenic, approximately 2-3 hour flagged route.
• Stop and draw a poker card for each hand you are playing from 5 different dealers along the way.
• Each drawn card will be recorded on your score card(s) issued at registration.
• There is a covered picnic area, but due to space, please bring a lawn chair.         
• Bring water for your horse as there is no water at Garland Mountain in the parking lot. There is however, water on the trails.
