Race for Results: Building a Path to Opportunity for All Children

Please join us for a webinar on April 28 at 1pm (ET) to explore the intersection of kids, race and opportunity and learn about The Annie E. Casey Foundation's new Race for Results policy report, featuring a new index which compares how children are progressing on key milestones across racial and ethnic groups at the national and state level.  The index is based on 12 indicators that measure a child’s success in each stage of life, from birth to adulthood, in the areas of early childhood; education and early work; family supports; and neighborhood context.  This webinar will highlight lessons learned and policy recommendations coming out of the report and how the Foundation's concentrated efforts to effectively frame the report and communicate about race contributed to its success.  Please note this webinar is for funders and philanthropic advisors only.

Speakers:

  • Laura Speer, Associate Director, Policy Reform and Advocacy, Annie E. Casey Foundation
  • Nonet Sykes, Senior Program Officer, Annie E. Casey Foundation
  • Norris West, Director, Strategic Communications, Annie E. Casey Foundation

This webinar is sponsored by the Communications Collaborative, a project of GIST, GCYF, and GIH. The Collaborative is a growing network of nearly 50 grantmakers representing national and regional foundations interested in coordinating investments to build communications capacity in the field.
