1) Trainee Breakfast (8:30-10:00AM)

Students, post-docs, and faculty interested in the fields of HIV and/or substance use are invited to attend our breakfast. The purpose of this breakfast is to talk with URBAN ARCH and CFAR investigators and explore opportunities for research projects. The breakfast will include an informal group breakfast and sign-up sessions to meet one-on-one with senior investigators such as clinician investigators Jeffrey Samet, Michael Stein, Matthew Freiberg, and Ben Linas; epidemiologist Judith Hahn; biostatistician Tim Heeren; and NIAAA HIV/AIDS Director Kendall Bryant.

2) Specific Aims Critique Session (10:00AM-11:30AM)

Judith Hahn, PhD, MA, Associate Professor in Residence at the University of California San Francisco and Principal Investigator of Uganda ARCH, will be hosting a specific aims critique session. Post-docs and junior faculty members who are applying for K, R21, R03, CFAR, or small R01 grants are welcome to submit their specific aims pages for review and feedback.

Priority will be given to alcohol and HIV grant submissions. If you are interested, please submit your specific aims pages by Monday, March 12th to carly.bridden@bmc.org. Individual feedback sessions will then be scheduled during the 10am-11:30 am time.
