Where are you from?  Do you trace your origins another region, state, country, or continent?  Where are you - both physically and mentally - in relation to where you are from and where you are now?  Perhaps your family has been here for generations.  Perhaps you recently arrived.  Whether for reunions, business, study, or because of natural or economic hardships or persecutions - the reasons to immigrate are as varied as the people now residing in America.

Where are you now?  Why do you live where you currently reside?  Does your life reflect the culture from which you came, or the culture of where you are now?  Does it depict how you relate to your past or present circumstances?  If so, this show is for you.

This juried show may feature 2- and 3-dimensional works in oils, acrylics, watercolors, photography, collage. sculpture, and jewelry.  All work will be original and handmade.

Opening night will be a virtual, online event of art, music, dance performances, and interviews on Thursday, June 24, at 7pm EDT.  All artworks and artists' information will be featured on InternationalFocus.org for one month.  After the show, a video of the opening night will be put on IF’s YouTube channel indefinitely.

Our host will be Kezia Wafule, recent graduate of Meredith University and President of the Meredith International Organization.   Performances will include the Durham African American Dance Ensemble, CJ Suitt, Chapel Hill Poet Laureate, and The Magic of African Rhythm, among others.

This project is funded in part by the City of Raleigh based on recommendations of the Raleigh Arts Commission.
