Chef Alessandra Buriani will visit arte italia this May, bringing her family's multi-generational philosophy for providing the highest quality Italian dishes made from the best seasonal ingredients. Class participants can look forward to a dining experience that is unique to the Emilia-Romagna region and categorized as "haute cuisine." Recognized with a Gambero Rosso Fork, Chef Buriani and her intimate 35-seat Ristorante Buriani dal 1967 have a reputation for infusing both tradition and innovation into a menu that perpetually changes with the time of year. Buriani, an art school graduate whose culinary skills are informed by early years of tutelage by her paternal grandmother, refers to her gastronomic creations as honest folk cuisine.
Class Schedule: Class begins at 6 p.m., doors open at 5:45 p.m. The class schedule will include a mix of traditional and contemporary cuisine from Chef Buriani’s region. She and her team will prepare an authentic Italian dinner including antipasto, primo piatto, secondo piatto and dolce. Recipes generally include fish, poultry, meats, dairy products, garlic, herbs and olive oil. Recipe information and cooking tips are provided to class participants for future reference.
