The Nashville Singers organization was founded in November of 2008 by a handful of men committed to excellence in vocal and choral performance. The chorus performs a diverse, primarily a cappella repertoire, covering many genres of music.

In five years, this volunteer group has grown from four to 16 singers, learned 50 songs, released two CDs, racked up 64 performances for 35 organizations in eight counties across Tennessee, and produced a successful concert series which has attracted 1,500+ attendees from 41 cities in ten states across the USA.

Their concert audiences have ranged in size from a few hundred to 4,000 people. The mission of the Nashville Singers is to enrich lives through singing and the support of music education. This support comes in the form of music education grants, college scholarships, master classes in area schools, and an annual vocal performance clinic called Acappella Academy. In the last three years, the Nashville Singers have awarded $5,000 in music education grants and scholarships impacting 200 students in seven schools across Middle Tennessee.

The singers are all volunteers, range in age from 22 to 82, and travel from Brentwood, Franklin, Hendersonville, Hermitage, LaVergne, Mount Juliet, Nashville, Portland, and Smyrna to participate in chorus activities.

The Nashville Singers have had the pleasure of singing for several dignitaries, including Nashville Mayor Karl Dean, United States Senator Trent Lott, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, and Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey to name a few.

In 2013, The Nashville Business Journal’s annual “Book of Lists” ranked the Nashville Singers 8th in their list of the “Top 20” performing arts organizations in Nashville.

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam declared November 23, 2013 as "Nashville Singers Day" in Nashville, Davidson County, and the State of Tennessee.
