Meet at First Presbyterian at 11:30 to walk up Peachtree Street to Rhodes Hall—“the castle on Peachtree.” Built in 1904 by Rhodes Furniture founder Amos Rhodes, the notable granite building is now the home of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Our guided tour will reveal the fine woodwork, decorative finishes, and art glass on all floors of the mansion. Afterward, those who wish may eat lunch together at The Pig and the Pearl restaurant. Costs are $7 to tour Rhodes Hall. Optional lunch is additional. Moderate amount of walking involved.
