Parentpower Workshop: Safety Going Back to School

An Online Program for Parents & Other Caring Adults

Start the school year with safety and confidence! In this adults-only workshop, you'll learn ways to protect your kids from harm - and ways to empower them with age-appropriate skills to take charge of their own safety, too! You'll learn with strategies to help young people:

  • Be safe from bullying and abuse
  • Build safer, stronger friendships
  • Speak up for inclusion and safety
  • Spot trouble early - and take action to be safe
  • Get help from busy adults - and persist!
  • Have more fun and fewer safety problems in class, at recess, in the halls - everywhere!

This US$60 program includes one-on-one support by email with questions before and after the workshop as well as links to resources - including 30-day access to a video recording of another Parentpower program - to help you and your family apply, adapt, and practice the skills. In addition to the 60-minute program, your instructor will stay to answer participants' questions for 30 more minutes.

Workshop Fee: US$60/screen
 Partial scholarships are available.
Pre-registration is required as there is limited space.

Donations over the amount of workshop fees are tax-deductible. We do not turn anyone away from our public workshops for lack of money. Partial scholarships are available.
