OPRA is offering a four-part training course designed to provide agencies with the understanding and tools necessary to be an active and productive participant in the ISP process. This is an intensive 16-hour training designed to give you the knowledge & confidence to be successful. THIS TRAINING HAS BEEN UPDATED TO INCLUDE “HOW TO BE SUCESSFUL WHEN TRANSITIONING TO THE NEW MONTHLY RATE CALCULATOR (MRC)”

Overview and understanding of the ISP Process; Identifying the statutes and administrative rule that govern the ISP process; in depth review of the SSA rule; Understanding your role and the role of the SSA in the ISP process.
Part 2 - Wednesday, May 29 ~ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm - Session Already Held
Overview of how waivers are funded; Understanding the CPT and MRC; In depth review of On-site On-call and the administrative rule language that governs its application; Rule and process review of the behavior, medical and complex care add-ons. How and why these determinations are critical to the success in your organizations mission/goals and impacts on your ability to recruit, train and retain quality DSP's.
Part 3 - Wednesday, June 5 ~ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm - Session Already Held
Role Play; Understanding what to expect in an actual ISP meeting and how to respond in ways that effect real change. The culture shift from DRA to MRC – developing your skills to make it successful!
Part 4 - Wednesday, June 12 ~ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm - Last Session
Putting the pieces together; How to be an effective advocate for your agency and the individuals you serve. Where do you go from here!
