The Thin Veil - Ancestral Honouring Ceremony
A 5Rhythms® Dance & Ritual
With Marcia FW Jones and Special Guest, David Yates, Sound Healer

Our ancestors dreamed us into being a long time ago. Our destiny in this lifetime may be to carry forward and resolve what they could not achieve during theirs.

Tribes around the globe use movement rituals during Hallowe'en, Samhain and The Day of the Dead to honor their ancestors and the birth to death lifecycle. At this time of year, the veil becomes thinner between the worlds. We feel less distance between the seen and the unseen and from the mundane to the mysteries beyond this realm. It’s the ideal time to gather in honour of the ancestors that have laid the path before us and to set intentions for our descendants who will come after us.

Marcia’s ceremony is held within the historic Labyrinth at St. Paul's Anglican Church. We come together in community to co-create a celebration and connection to Spirits through conscious movement. David will offer a healing soundscape to support our ritual as we walk the labyrinth and dance the 5Rhythms. Marcia will create safe and sacred space to present a personal gateway to journey into alternate realities. She will guide those with little to no experience as well as longtime practitioners to return spirituality back to the body through ecstatic trance dance.

We have the opportunity to embody each of the 5 Rhythms: Flowing Staccato Chaos Lyrical Stillness™ and use them as a guide into trance states. We support each other to dive deep into the 5Rhythms practice in order to open our bodies as vessels for Spirit. We will dance and share our experiences with each other.

You are invited to come dance to journey, connect to helping Spirits, heal, restore balance and transform your soul.
