Dining With The Chefs 2018 

Founded in 2001, The Campus Kitchens Project is a national organization that empowers student volunteers to fight hunger in their community. By organizing the bi-annual benefit Dining with the Chefs the UMES Hospitality and Tourism Management students will raise funds for a fundamental community-based partnership program. The Universities at Shady Grove Campus Kitchen Project provides more than 200 meals each month to the families participating with the Dwelling Place, Inc.

Dining with Chefs is night that brings sixteen local Chefs and hundreds of people together to raise money for our Campus Kitchens program. The money we raise goes to purchasing healthy food that we prepare in our on-campus kitchen and then deliver to families in need. We partner with The Dwelling Place, a local non-profit organization that finds transitional housing for homeless families in Montgomery County.
