Come visit for a day and #ChooseAiken forever!

As you make your final college choice, please join us for Admitted Student Day on Saturday, March 19, 2016 and #ChooseAiken! 

Get a unique view of the USC Aiken experience from current students and faculty, find out about the array of campus activities and events, meet with our Pacesetter orientation guides to get the insight on what you can expect.  Who knows?  Perhaps you’ll even meet your future roommate!

11 - 11:25  Welcome Session 

11 – 2:15    Tech Central  
Activate your USC Aiken accounts, apply for housing, sign up for orientation, and commit to USCA before you leave campus!  Let our HelpDesk staff get you up and running.

11 – 2:15   Pacer Shoppe (USCA Bookstore)  
Visit our temporary store in the lobby to make a quick purchase while you’re on campus.  Show your Pacer Pride and let everyone know you decided to #ChooseAiken!

11:25 –11:45  Session Block 1  
Paying for College: A Financial Aid Discussion
  Tammie Minter, Assistant Director of Financial Aid, will share a few “insider’s tips” on what to expect and how to work through the financial aid process between now and August!

11:45 – 12:30  Lunch

12:35 - 1:05  Session Block 2 (students and parent must split up!)
Meet Your Roommate – or your new best friend! (students only)  Pacesetters and RAs lead a mix/mingle session where you just might meet your future roommate.  Even if you have not decided to live on campus yet, this session is for you!

Resource Fair 
Questions?  Get them answered when you visit with representatives from a number of campus offices and programs including Career Services, University Police, Athletics, Equestrian Club, Financial Aid, Honors Program, Greek Life, Orientation, Intramurals, Veteran & Military Student Success, and Wellness Center.


1:15 – 1:45  Session Block 3   (pick one of the following – students and parents may split up)

Join Prof. John Engel for a no-holds-barred discussion of life in USC Aiken’s classrooms.  Find out what your faculty members love (and don’t!) from their students.  Get tips on making your academic life a success.  Prof. Engel is a faculty member in the School of Business Administration as well as their internship director.

Learn insights about college life from a group of our Pacesetter orientation leaders.

 Greek Life at USC Aiken
Considering joining a fraternity or sorority?  Not sure what it’s like, what to expect, or whether it’s for you?  Then join Angel Miano, Associate Director of Student Life, and several of Aiken’s fraternity and sorority leaders for a peek into going Greek at USCA.

Student Athlete? Intramural Athlete? 
Are you a recruited athlete or looking to join one of USC Aiken’s teams in the future? Maybe you’re looking for an intramural sport to help you stay active.  If so, join Tim Hall, Associate Director of Athletics, and Ross Philbeck, Coordinator of Intramurals, for a discussion of USCA’s NCAA and intramural athletics programs and choices.

A quick wrap-up of the day's events.  You'll have a little fun and receive an invitation to join the USC Aiken family as a "Pacer Forever".

Are you interested in finding out how to study with USCA’s most outstanding students? Come meet the Honors Student Ambassadors as well as Dr. Chad Leverette, program director, and learn about the requirements, benefits, and opportunities available in the USC Aiken Honors Program.

2  Pacer Baseball
  Roberto Hernandez Stadium  
End the day by cheering on your nationally-ranked Pacer baseball team.  Free tickets will be available during the day.  Complimentary food and beverages (traditional ball game snacks) will be served.  Go Pacers!
