Interested in being a Fourth Friday Destination?

Please use the link below to register your location as a Fourth Friday site.

A little background information on the program to consider:

Local businesses and organizations in Tazewell County - such as Art Studios, Restaurants, Retailers, Service organizations - any and all interested in participating,  can register here to host a local artist, musician or special promotion at their business on the Fourth Fridays, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM (April - August). This initiative, called the Tazewell Art Loop is being sponsored by Unland Companies and supported by the Chambers of Commerce in Morton and Pekin and the Delavan community, with representation from businesses in Morton, Delavan, and Pekin.  The public will be encouraged to visit each community for a walkable experience to enjoy great local art, artist meet and greets, entertainment, and shop and dine local experiences with the communities on The Loop!

Cost to participate in the Fourth Friday Art Loop will be $40/business location/Fourth Friday season for non-chamber members ($20 for chamber members) – This contribution will pay for your business to be included in promotional materials for Fourth Fridays – Tazewell Art Loop including press releases, walking maps, radio, magazines, Social Media promotions, and more.

How does it work?  When you register as a Fourth Friday Destination:

1)  Your business will be included on The Tazewell Art Loop Map, promotional materials and regional communications.  Participants can register to be a Fourth Friday Destination at any time, but your business may not be listed on print publications until the following month.

2)  Your business location and space availability  (i.e. –  outdoor/sidewalk space, wall space, floor space, table space)  will be shared with Local and Regional visual and fine artists that have registered and been approved to participate in Fourth Fridays.  They will be given your contact information and asked to coordinate their monthly displays with you for the rest of the season.  If you do not hear from an artist, contact Lenora Fisher for help troubleshooting - lfisher@mortonillinois.org.  You are also welcome to bring in your own artists (from local schools, friends, churches, etc), we just ask that you let Lenora know that your location has an artist so she doesn't list you as having space available when it isn't available.  We also ask that your artist register to participate through the artist registration page found on the Morton Chamber website at - https://www.mortonchamber.org/fourth-fridays, for promotional inclusion.  If it's an artist that you've coordinated, let us know and we will waive the artist fee for their participation.  Registration as a Fourth Friday Destination does not ensure that you will be assigned an artist.  It does ensure that your name is given to available artists and that introductions are made through the Chamber of Commerce.

3)  Artists should be given the ability to display and sell art at your location for as many Fourth Fridays in the 2018 Season as possible.  They will also be asked to promote their participation and draw followers to your location as well.

4) Whever possible, allow the artist to set up their display outside of your business to attract as much attention to the activities as possible.  Sidewalk traffic should never be blocked, but outside displays are welcomed and encouraged.

5) Hiring musicians is a great way to bring attention to your shop.  Many musicians ask a fee and direct coordination with them will be necessary.  The Fourth Friday Committee will not be coordinating musical performances for individual locations.

6) You will be invited to submit a trivia question, a coupon (to encourage a return visit to your store) and a prize item (valued between $10 - $25) for the seasonal scavenger hunt we're arranging.  The Trivia question will be included on a scavenger hunt card directing participants to each participating location.  The gift item and coupon will be included in the Scavenger Hunt Grand Prize.  Participants will be invited to find the submissions from each participating store between April and August.  Participants that find all the clues between April and August will submit their cards to be entered into a gift basket drawing upon completion of the season.  The winner will receive a gift basket with items from all participating stores.  It will be a fun way to drive traffic to all participating locations.

To be a Fourth Friday Destination, you also agree to:

1. Respond to artist inquiries about your available space and agree to host your artist partner from 5:00 - 8:00 on the Fourth Fridays for which you register.

2.  Keep your establishment open from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the Fourth Fridays for which you registered.

3.  Open your store and provide indoor display space for artists in the instances of rain.

4. Provide refreshments, Fourth Friday specials, and/or organize additional activities and events to make Fourth Fridays special for the community and attract patrons back to your store for future business.  Submit these activities to your local Fourth Friday Champion (to be identified at a later date) for promotion on social media.

5. Promote Fourth Fridays, the Tazewell Art Loop, and other local participants to your customers all season long.

6.  Track the number of visitors that come to your location on each Fourth Friday and send the total number to Lenora Fisher at lfisher@mortonillinois.org after every Fourth Friday.

We look forward to a fun and fabulous Fourth Fridays Season with you!
