Join us as we honor our 2012 WTS San Antonio Region Award winners. You voted and the results were tabulated. We will be honoring our Woman of the Year, Member of the Year, Employer of the Year, Rosa Parks Diversity Leadership Award, and Innovative Transportation Solutions Award winners so come support your nominees.

Mary Peters The awards dinner will also feature guest speaker Mary E. Peters. Mary E. Peters served as U.S. Secretary of Transportation from 2006 – 2009. In that role she led efforts to substantially improve transportation safety, to improve the performance of the nation’s transportation system, and develop new policy and funding sources to support America’s transportation system into the 21^st Century.

Prior to serving as U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Ms. Peters was a Sr. Vice President and National Director for Transportation Policy and Consulting for HDR, Inc. From 2001 – 2005 Ms. Peters served as the Federal Highway Administrator for the US Department of Transportation. Ms. Peters served as the Arizona Department of Transportation Director prior to becoming Federal Highway Administrator.

She is currently the Principal of Mary Peters Consulting Group, LLC, an organization dedicated to finding new and better ways to address America’s infrastructure requirements. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Rand Corporation and as a Member of the Board for HDR, Inc. Ms. Peters was appointed to the Arizona Commerce Authority by Gov. Jan Brewer, and supports the nationally recognized BASIS Schools as a School Board Member at the Chandler, Flagstaff and Peoria Campus’.

Each person will receive two drink tickets with admission. No shows will be invoiced. A $1 fee is added for online payments to offset credit card processing fees.
