We are looking for 250 Table Hosts.
As a Table Host, you will fill the essential role of welcoming participants and guiding the conversation. Do not be intimidated! We have designed a fun and simple process for helping strangers connect and tell stories.
Table Hosts are the key to not only getting as many Louisvillians to the Potluck as possible, but also in ensuring that we have a diverse array of attendees that fully represent our city. Via firsthand printed invitations, a Host's role is to create an atmosphere of sincere welcome, embodying The Big Table's focus on person-to-person connection.
- Get the word out! Invite and promote The Big Table with your friends, at your organizations, and in your networks.
- Hand out invitations by September 1st. Hang posters at work and other gathering places.
- Commit to inviting at least eight (8) participants...which helps us reach our goal of 2,000 attendees!
- Encourage participants to join you in signing up at www.TheBigTable502.com.
- Help answer other questions about the event and the logistics.
We're asking Table Hosts to attend a special publicity party in order to hear more information and details on the event. The purpose of the party is more than picking up printed materials; we want to fully communicate the intention and purpose of the event to you, so that you can carry it forward to your networks. Printed personal invitations and posters will be available for you to distribute.
After you register, you will recieve information about upcoming publicity parties, and updates before the event. We will also provide a link to a short training video and facilitation materials.
Organizational Sponsorships
We are looking for 100 businesses, groups, organizations, and faith communities to help sponsor the event. Sponsors will be publicly recognized at all our tables.
Organizational sponsors agree to:
- Provide a $100 donation (or smaller amount if needed).
- Recruit at least two (2) Table Hosts from their organization.
