AIA GEN150 Load Development Basics 2 Hour - 2 LU\HSW

Load Development is the discipline by which Architects, Designers, and Engineers analyze the structural integrity of a building with respect to the forces it must safely resist. Every structure is subject to loads, as a result of gravity, wind, earthquakes, or impact. In this class, we will explore the loads most commonly considered for a building. We will learn about load application types, design load classifications, and methods of load development. You will see how load development is essential to safe and sound building design, and proper material specification.

Presented by Mark Collins of the Weyerhaeuser Company

(Approved for 2 AIA credit hours)

But wait... There's more!

After a short break, Mark will conduct a software training session in our computer lab.  We invite you to stay for lunch and learn more about Forte, the free software from Weyerhaeuser for specifying Trus-Joist engineered wood products.  Apply what you will have learned moments earlier!  Please register seperately below.
(Seating is limited to 16 people, NOT an AIA credit class)  End time approx 2:00.

I would like to stay for this too!
