Registration Deadline:
Registration for the Spring Women’s Retreat will close on Tuesday morning March 10 as we have to give final numbers to the Prothro Center in advance.
What You Can Expect:
Inspiring large group teaching, small group discussion, time for relaxation, time for music, fellowship and food. Just the right balance of scheduled activities and personal relaxation (Saturday afternoon is reserved for downtime whether you want to socialize with friends, go for a walk or take a nap)!
Guest Speaker:
Rebecca Carrell is, in order of importance, a joyful Jesus follower, wife to Mike, mother to Caitlyn and Nick, morning show co-host in Dallas/Fort Worth on 90.9 KCBI, conference speaker, and author of Holy Jellybeans: Finding God through Everyday Things. She moved to Dallas in 1998 and began her broadcasting career in country music. In 2011 she moved to Christian radio station KCBI, where she co-hosts the morning show. Rebecca is also currently working toward her Master’s in Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary.
Retreat Theme - Unexpected: Old Stories Through New Eyes
The beauty of Christ runs through the Scriptures like a scarlet thread from Genesis to Revelation—from the Garden of Eden to the Heavenly City. Examine Old Testament stories with New Testament eyes, and you will find Jesus on every page. Women will learn to navigate Scripture in ways that will leave them filled, fueled, and famished: filled with the joy of the Lord, fueled to walk out their unique calling, and famished for more of God’s Word.
Table Groups:
You will have the opportunity to participate in a table group, which will provide a wonderful place to connect with old and new friends alike, while you share and grow together.
Attire:
No need to dress for success this weekend, so leave your fancy garb behind! Comfortable shoes and clothes are the perfect combination for this special weekend.
