Low Light & No Light Handgun School, Level 1

Course Overview

PNTC is pleased to offer a new, ENTRY LEVEL low/no light pistol course. This course covers the reality of low light and no night defensive situations and safety.

We'll start in the classroom, watch low light defensive scenario videos and review key marksmanship and range safety operations. At dusk, we'll move to the range to take advantange of the decreasing light conditions and at dark, we'll work with flashlights and/or tactical lights and progress into the necessary drills needed to cope with low/no light defesive situations!  

THIS CLASS IS NOT A BEGINNER COURSE!  Student must be able to safely handle handguns and safely draw and holster their handgun. 

PREREQUISITES 

Students MUST have completed basic level handgun schools or other reasonable defensive pistol courses from PNTC or other reputable trainers. This course is ideal for recreational, competitive, defensive, law enforcement/agency or former military. If you are safe and responsible with a handgun and want to learn about low/no light defensive shooting, this course is for you. 

PNTC reserves the right to refuse enrollment to anyone that is unable to demonstrate the level of safe pistol handling skills required for this course!  Instructors have the full discretion to remove any student from this course for safety reasons or if the student fails to meet the prerequisites for this course, anytime during the course without issuing a refund.

Equipment & Ammo Requirements:

 A CASED, Full Size, semi-automatic firearm (or revolver)

A HANDHELD TACTICAL STYLE FLASHLIGHT WITH APPROPRIATE BUTTON OR A TACTICAL FLASHLIGHT MOUNTED ON YOUR HANDGUN AND WORKING! 

We will not draw from a holster in this Level 1 course. We will use tables for saftey purposes.

3 or more properly working magazines

Caliber should be .380 or above (PNTC recommends 9mm, 40S&W or 45ACP)

150 rounds of high quality target ammunition

Pen and Paper for notes, if desired

Hearing protection

Baseball cap

Protective eye wear

Range bag

 Please ensure that your firearm is UNLOADED and cased prior to arriving at PNTC. Please leave your training firearm cased and in your vehicle upon arrival. We will tell you when it's time to get your firearm.

Please do not bring a “concealed carry” firearm into the training room.  No ammunition or loaded firearms of any kind are permitted in the training room.

PNTC Staff/Instructors reserve the right to the determination of the successful or unsuccessful completion of the course of the individual student based on, but not limited to, safety, attitude and/or overall skill development. PNTC also reserves the right to remove any student for any safety purposes, or highly unusual or disruptive behavior, with or without refund, based on PNTC's sole determination.
