Course Overview
As a competition venue with extensive knowledge and involvement in the shooting sports and 3Gun, PNTC understands that new shooters interested in shooting 3Gun for the first time are often confused by rules, scoring, firearms requirements, gear requirements, safety concerns, etc.
In this unique class, students will begin by learning proper gun safety, basic competition techniques and gear setups. Rules and scoring methods for 3gun competitions will be covered, as well. This course will also teach basic starting positions, mounts and target acquisitions for each firearm, techniques for shooting each firearm and techniques for transitioning to and from each type of firearm.
Reloading for each firearm will be taught, as well as movement and shooting from various positions. Students will complete the course by shooting an actual course of fire, similar as to what they would encounter in a competition.
