Assistant Match Director / Instructor

The Assistant Match Director / Instructor will work with our Senior Match Director and team to run and help manage a variety of PNTC’s matches and training efforts. The Assistant Match Director / Instructor must be able to manage shooting competitions, perform shooting instruction, teach classes, help with special events, set and tear down courses of fire. Duties include (but are not limited to) match direction, marksmanship instruction, sales activities, working in the PNTC retail store, customer service, company administration tasks, range maintenance and range operations.

The Assistant Match Director / Instructor will report to PNTC’s Vice President and to the Senior Match Director. Position requires working some weekdays and weekends. Position is hourly and will require approximately 20-30 hours per week.  Must be available to work on Saturday and Sunday.  This position is physically demanding at times, and requires the ability to work outdoors in various climates and seasons.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

-       Must be legally authorized to own and possess firearms

-       Must have no criminal record

-       Must be able to pass a drug test

-       Must have competitive shooting experience and be willing to learn

-       Must be a capable, humble firearms instructor and be willing to learn

-       Must have good organization, planning and communication skills

-       Must be familiar with and comfortable with the firearms industry

-       Must be friendly and able to get along well with others

-       Strong sales and customer service capability needed

-       Must be able to help in the PNTC retail store

-       Secondary education and or strong academic record a plus but not required

-       Honorably discharged veterans are encouraged to apply

-  References will be required upon request
