Bette Lamont is a certified counselor, teacher, parent, therapist and consultant. She has worked with children and adult learning and behavioral issues throughout her career. She has served as a Neurological Reorganization Practitioner since 1986, and is Founder and Executive Director of Developmental Movement Consultants in Seattle, Washington. She has been a Registered and Certified Counselor in Washington State since 1994.

An Introduction to Neurological Reorganization

Please join us for a rich, inspiring and delightfully experiential training in the work that has brought relief to thousands of children and adults struggling with Developmental Trauma Disorder, Attachment Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism Spectrum issues, Traumatic Brain Injury, Learning Disabilities, and Behavior Challenges.

Participants will:

-Learn the process by which the brain integrates itself in the first months of life and how a rich sensory/motor environment in these months lays the foundation for full brain integration over the lifespan. 

-Recognize key sensory and motor milestones or normal development at seven different levels of the central nervous system. 

-Understand the consequences of any form or degree of trauma or developmental interruption as these affect learning, social, attention and physical skills. 

-Be able to create environments that enhance the normal neurodevelopmental process in the classroom and learn how to encourage specific motor activities that prompt brain organization in infants.

Cost: Free! (Priority will be given to partner agencies of The Butler County Partnership to Reduce Infant Mortality) 

* Coffe and water provided, lunch is on your own. 

CEUs: 5.5 Social Work/Counselor CEUs are provided by the Butler County Educational Service Center approved & awarded by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, & MFT Board Approvals RSX050901 & RCX051001; 5.5 Contact Hours for Educators
